Virtual Talk with Victoria Wyeth:  Andrew Wyeth 1965 to 1985 (Part 3)

Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (live program repeated on two evenings)

7 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) on Zoom

Join Victoria Wyeth as she shares her uniquely personal perspectives on the art of her grandfather, Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009) and presents both familiar and never-before-seen work by the artist.

In July, Victoria will explore an eventful period of Andrew Wyeth’s career during which the artist was recognized for his achievements both nationally and internationally. Major exhibitions in New York, San Francisco, London and Toyko included the landmark Two Worlds of Andrew Wyeth: Kuerners and Olsons, the first solo exhibition by a living artist presented by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This was also a time when Wyeth lost two important friends and models, Christina Olson and Karl Kuerner, and created (in secret) the majority of the work that would be considered The Helga Collection, featuring model Helga Testorf.

The program will be held on Zoom and participants are invited to ask questions. The presentation is the same on both evenings. Limited-time viewing of the recording will be available for those who miss the live event. Proceeds support the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art.
