Virtual Read Aloud: Layla’s Happiness

Families with young children are invited to join Museum staff on Zoom for a morning of fun interactive storytelling and artwork engagement. Each family will receive suggestions for connecting to the book at home with craft and sensory exploration ideas. This live, small-group program will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings in October.

  • October 8 “Over and Under the Pond” by Kate Messner
  • October 15 "I Got the Rhythm" by Connie Schofield-Morrison
  • October 22 “Layla’s Happiness” by Maria Hadessa and Ekere Tallie
  • October 29 “Frankencrayon” by Michael Hall

Please register once per family, using an adult's name and contact information. You will be asked to provide the names and ages of children participating during the check-out process. While this program is available for free, we encourage you to consider an optional Pay What You Wish ticket to help us provide more engaging experiences like these during this time of limited on-site programming. Registrants will receive a link to the the live Zoom discussion room in their confirmation email. The room will open 5 minutes prior to the start of the event.
