Meet Karl J. Kuerner through an online program hosted over Zoom as he discusses his book, Beyond the Art Spirit: The Mentoring of a Young Artist by Carolyn Wyeth and her Brother Andrew. The presentation will begin with a brief history of the Kuerner family and their farm where artist Andrew Wyeth found inspiration for over 70 years. Karl will share about his own artistic journey, discussing his recent work and book. Participants may submit questions in advance during the registration process and during the presentation.

Registrants will receive a link to the the live Zoom discussion room in their confirmation email. The room will open 10 minutes prior to the start of the event.

The book is available for purchase through the Museum Shop. All copies purchased between September 10 and 13 will be signed by the artist and will be shipped or available for pick-up beginning September 16. The book may be purchased by calling the Museum shop at 610-388-8326.

Karl J. Kuerner is a Chadds Ford artist and the grandson of two of Andrew Wyeth’s best-known subjects, Karl and Anna Kuerner. Taught by Carolyn Wyeth and mentored by Andrew Wyeth, Karl has painted for over 50 years and has contributed greatly to the tradition of American realism. Learn more about Karl J.
