Penguin Court's "The Winged World Around Us" virtual series kicks off with Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, Patti Schildkamp, speaking about the butterfly visitors that come to your garden.  

This presentation will introduce you to six regional butterflies: Spicebush Swallowtail, Cloudless Sulfur, Eastern Black Swallowtail, Great Spangled Fritillary, Zebra Swallowtail, and, of course, the Monarch.  

Each of their life stages - egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and adult - will be described.  Most importantly, the caterpillar host plants and adult nectar plants will also be discussed so that you will know how to attract these beautiful butterflies to your garden this spring, summer and fall!
