Studio Spotlight: Ian Stabler

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday July 20

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

Join artist Ian Stabler as he discusses Queen Anne’s Lace Pod, a site-specific sculpture that he is in the process of creating for the Museum. Located in Potts Meadow along the Harvey Run Trail, the sculptural pod—which will be completed by July 23rd—is made entirely of branches, sticks, and other natural materials found on the campus grounds. The work reflects Stabler’s response to the local landscape and his abiding interest in how art can be incorporated into the natural landscape. Stabler will talk about his inspirations and vision for the project as well as his overall career and artistic practice. He will be joined in conversation by Associate Curator Audrey Lewis and Brandywine Conservancy Director Ellen M. Ferretti.

Registrants will receive a link to the live Zoom discussion room in their confirmation email. The room will open 10 minutes prior to the start of the event.
