State Symbol Series: White-tailed Deer

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday February 22

6:30 PM  –  8:00 PM

Recognizable in Penn's Woods and, sadly, along Pennsylvania's roadways, white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) are emblematic of the Commonwealth's wildlife.

You are welcomed to join us for a virtual program about Pennsylvania's State Animal, presented by Jeannine Fleegle, a biologist with the Pennsylvania Game Commission studying these magnificent creatures. In addition to covering deer's biology and natural history, Ms. Fleegle will provide a more in-depth presentation on antlers.

Penguin Court, a preserve of Brandywine Conservancy, is hosting this Zoom event, which is open to the public and will be recorded. It is a "Pay What You Wish" program with proceeds benefitting Penguin Court's education and outreach.

Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.

This is the second presentation in our State Symbol Series.
