State Symbol Series: Mountain Laurel

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday March 1

6:30 PM  –  7:45 PM

While Pennsylvania's state flower won't be blooming for a few more months, their evergreen leaves provide welcomed color - and shelter - in the depths of winter. Join Kelly Sitch, an ecologist with the DCNR's Bureau of Forestry, as he describes the identifying traits, natural history and cultural significance of this iconic shrub.

Penguin Court, a preserve of Brandywine Conservancy, is hosting this Zoom event, which is open to the public and will be recorded. It is a "Pay What You Wish" program with proceeds benefitting Penguin Court's education and outreach. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Thank you for considering a donation.

This is the third presentation in our State Symbol Series.
