Songs of Suffrage Virtual Program

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday July 22

7:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Join us for a virtual journey through the music of the Women's Suffrage Movement. Music was one of the significant tools used in the crusade for a woman's right to vote.  Songs were composed to advance (and to oppose) the agenda that culminated in the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.  Folk musicians and music historians Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle present some of the most engaging songs of the movement, with historical commentary.

The program will be held on Zoom. Registrants will receive a link to the live Zoom discussion room. The room will open 10 minutes prior to the start of the event.

This program is part of Art of the Vote presented by PNC Arts Alive.
