Penguin Court Tour and AR Experience [Laughlintown, PA]

Thursday September 10

6:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Enjoy a guided tour of Penguin Court, the former Scaife family estate in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County that is now a private preserve of the Brandywine Conservancy.  Learn about the site's history and Brandywine's use of it, while taking in beautiful views.

The walking tour will begin in the gorgeous conservatory and then head over to the old mansion site before concluding at the greenhouse.  We'll be walking through a mowed lawn, up a flight of stairs, across a cobblestone driveway, and on paved and gravel roads.

Guests will also have the opportunity to experience the new, award-winning augmented reality project that digitally recreates the Penguin Court mansion.  After downloading an app to your phone or iPad or sharing one of ours, you will have access to a portal that will use sites at Penguin Court to view how the mansion fit within the space.  You can walk up to the "front door", across the many "patios", or in front of the 5-bay "garage."  The detailing is amazing!
