Penguin Court is thrilled to host members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh (3AP) on Friday, August 7, 2026.  At 8:30 p.m., 3AP volunteers will lead a presentation about binocular astronomy, and then we’ll observe featured celestial targets until 11:30 p.m. 

     Please bring a camp chair and/or blanket and snacks for yourself and dress in layers in case it gets chilly.  We also recommend you bring a red flashlight or red headlamp to minimize light pollution.  Parking information will be shared in the confirmation email.

     This event is weather dependent.  Please watch for an email Friday afternoon with a “go, no-go” notice.   

     Children are welcomed and must be accompanied by an adult.  Please register each person in your group.
