Penguin Court Book Club "The Nature of Oaks"

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday September 24

6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

Join Pennsylvania Master Naturalist trainee, Maureen Tuttle, and Penguin Court Program Manager, Melissa Reckner, for a lively discussion about “The Nature of Oaks” by Doug Tallamy.  Scientifically proven to host over 500 species of butterflies and moths, oaks are one of the most important tree species that you can plant for wildlife.  Tallamy takes you on a seasonal discovery of the life found within an oak tree.  You’ll never look at an oak the same way!  Pennsylvania Master Naturalist trainee, Rosco Ross, will be joining the program to share his experience propagating oak trees from acorns, and each participant will receive a red oak seedling to take home.

Cookies and tea will be provided, but feel free to BYO.
