Aligning with Longwood Garden's Community Read selection for 2025, Penguin Court's Book Club will discuss "Paradise Under Glass: The Education of an Indoor Gardener" by Ruth Kassinger.   

       This non-fiction piece follows Ms. Kassinger's path of building and tending a small conservatory at her home in Maryland as a therapeutic antidote to stem loss and changes in her life.  Ms. Kassinger calls it a "witty and absorbing memoir" filled with humor, personal anecdotes, and fascinating history.

       This program will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. (EDT) at Penguin Court, located at 314 Penguin Court in Laughlintown, PA.  The history of Penguin Court's conservatory will be shared, and guests will have the opportunity to explore the plants in it.
