Penguin Court is delighted to share that local author, Daryln Brewer Hoffstot, will be present for Penguin Court's Book Club on September 4, 2025, when we discuss her book, "A Farm Life" that was published in 2023.  It is a collection of 27 short essays including ones titled "Less Lawn, More Native Plants" and "Stinging Nettles" that describe her observations of life at her Western Pennsylvania farm.  You'll relate to many of her stories and learn more about this region's natural history.
