Owl Prowl at Penguin Court
Curious about owls? Join Forbes State Forest's Environmental Education Specialist, Lisa Meadows, at Penguin Court to learn more about these fascinating birds. After a short program indoors, we will head outside to look and listen for owls that call Penguin Court home! We will walk up to a mile on gravel, cobblestone, and paved roads, stopping periodically to be quiet and listen for a response to owl calls. Please wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers, and bring a flashlight or headlamp. You may wish to bring a walking stick, too.
This activity is suitable for adults and children aged 10+. Space is limited, so each person in your party must register and children must be accompanied by a paying adult. If registration fills, and you would like to be added to our waiting list, please email Melissa at mreckner@brandywine.org.
Note that this program will be canceled if it is raining steadily or if it is exceptionally windy. A confirmation email will be shared with registrants around lunchtime on November 12.
