Native Plants, Nativars, Cultivars & Straight Species: What You Want to Know

Friday November 15

Other dates...

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

Whether you are a newly inspired native plant gardener or one with many seasons of stories to share, these terms are an integral part of the native plants being sold, shared, observed, and written about today. Join Brandywine Conservancy staffers Mark Gormel, Senior Manager of Horticulture, and Renee Kemmerer, Senior Horticulturist, for an opportunity to learn what is meant by these terms and come away with a much clearer understanding of how you can use these classifications to more fully appreciate, evaluate and select those native plants that are most meaningful to you and your specific gardening journey.

This program is part of the “Digging Deeper: Developing a Closer Connection with Native Plantings” series for those looking to create a closer connection with native plantings in their own backyard and community. This blended virtual and in-person series offers a different perspective on ways to engage on a deeper level with your natural surroundings.

This event is open to the public and may be recorded. It is a "pay what you wish" program with proceeds benefitting Brandywine Conservancy’s education and outreach. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Thank you for considering a donation.
