Museum Explorers

Explore the Brandywine River Museum of Art both inside and out this summer through weekly adventures for families. Each Thursday morning from July 11th to August 1st discover new treasures in art and nature on scavenger hunts through the galleries and campus followed by creative art projects. 

 

Participate in one or all four programs designed for children ages 3 to 10 accompanied by an adult.  

 

Registration is encouraged with two available time slots: 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.  

 

Summer Stories- July 11th: Journey through the galleries to find paintings that tell a tale and make yourself the star of your own adventure story.  

   

Jazzy Watercolors- July 18th: Discover the joy of music through the photographs of Frank Stewart and respond to jazzy tunes using watercolors.  

   

CreatureQuest- July 25th: Search for painted animals throughout the Museum and assemble an imaginative three-dimensionalcreature.   

   

Natural Beauty August 1st: Explore seasonal landscapesand the botanical art of Andrew Wyeth and use a variety of materials to create a colorful windsock.
