Join exhibiting visual artist Misha Wyllie to learn about artists who use meditation and improvisation in their practices, along with creating your own series of quick sketches using color theory, improvisation, and mindfulness techniques.
Through these activities participants will learn about ways that artmaking can nurture mindfulness, gain more confidence in color mixing and mark making, and discover prompts to inspire creativity in their artistic practice. The program will also include a gallery walkthrough of “Abundance/Excess: A Contemporary Eye on Still Life” led by Misha Wyllie. All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary.
Your ticket includes museum admission for the day, and you are welcome to come early to explore the galleries, café, and gift shop before the workshop.
