Thursday March 15

6:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Join renowned scholar Annette Blaugrund, former director of the National Academy of Design Museum, for a fascinating presentation on George Weymouth’s creative process and career as an artist, including his early training and development as a realist, the influence of the Brandywine tradition, his long friendship with Andrew Wyeth, and Weymouth’s masterful use of media such as egg tempera and watercolor. Weymouth’s art demonstrates his personal connection to the land and people of the Brandywine Valley and complements his important work as a conservationist and philanthropist.

The Museum will open at 5:30 p.m. with the lecture at 6 p.m. and a reception to follow.
