Discussing Difficult Topics with Students: Teacher Workshop

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday February 12

4:30 PM  –  6:30 PM

Although the Woman Suffrage movement took place 100 years ago, the struggle to guarantee voting rights and other aspects of the movement can be connected to events happening today. The current political climate can make conversations with students on these topics challenging. After a guided look at the Votes for Women: A Visual History and Witness to History exhibitions, local educators from elementary, middle and high school/college level will share practical strategies for discussing difficult topics with students using visual resources such as political cartoons as resources.

Free for educators with ID.  Teachers will earn two hours of Act 48 credit.

Pre-registration is required; register online or by calling 610.388.8382.
