Creative Escape: Paper Quilled Snowflakes

Sold Out!

Wednesday November 13

6:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Come to the Brandywine River Museum of Art to unwind, mingle and make art! Designed for adults who want to awaken their inner artists, this program will include a hands-on paper quilling activity led by professional artist Ann Martin. Participants will be introduced to the basic tools and techniques of paper quilling and will create a one-of-a-kind snowflake that can be used as an ornament or to embellish a gift this holiday season. The evening will also include an opportunity to view Brandywine’s special exhibition Cinderella & Co.—Three Fairy Tales Reimagined. No experience is necessary.

Ann Martin is a paper quilling artist whose work was featured in a 2008 exhibition at Brandywine River Museum of Art, The Spirit is Quilling: Rolled-Paper Filigree. She designs paper projects for books and magazines, and has written multiple books on paper crafting including The Art of Quilling Paper Jewelry. She has written for her blog, All Things Paper, since 2009.

The museum will open at 5:30 p.m. with the workshop beginning at 6:00 p.m. Cost includes art materials and light refreshments. BYOB!

Tickets for events hosted by the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art are non-refundable.
