Join us for an educational program that delves into the rich history, cultural significance, and artistry of bonsai, the ancient Japanese practice of growing miniature trees.  Bonsai hobbyist, Adam Brown, of Ligonier, will share the origins of bonsai, from its roots to its refinement in Japan, the philosophy behind bonsai cultivation, and the various styles of this art.  Adam will bring a few of his bonsai trees to demonstrate the different aspects of making bonsai from trimming the roots, wiring the limbs, and pruning the leaves and branches for style.  This presentation is perfect for anyone interested in the history of bonsai, as well as those eager to explore the techniques and artistry involved in this living tradition.
