30th Annual Brandywine River Cleanup
This event is no longer on sale.
Please join us for our 30th year as we return to the banks of the Brandywine and its surrounding areas on Saturday, April 22, 2023! This event is brought to you by West Pharmaceuticals, Aegis Property Group, Republic Services, and Wegmans.
This year, volunteers have the option to join us in person on April 22nd, or pick up a free cleanup kit at the Brandywine Museum of Art the week of Earth Day (April 16-22) and use it to clean up their own communities!
For the in-person cleanup:
- Volunteers are advised to wear hats, long pants, heavy shoes or boots, sunscreen, and bright or reflective clothing.
- Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
- Lunch will be provided in the Museum courtyard at noon.
- This event is appropriate for children over the age of five.
Volunteers who choose the cleanup kit option will receive further instruction via email about how to pick up their kit. Each cleanup kit includes:
- One pair of gloves
- Multiple trash bags
- Information about cleanup safety, the Brandywine Watershed, and the history of the Brandywine River Cleanup.
To register, please enter the number of adults and children (over the age of 5) who will be participating in the in-person cleanup, or enter the number of adults and children (over the age of 5) who are requesting cleanup kits. All in-person volunteers will need to complete a waiver in order to participate. All volunteers will receive a certificate of participation. Proof of volunteer hours is available upon request.
